Meet the Owner

A mom of five children, Amy founded Lice Stoppers, LLC in 2014 to help families get rid of lice and be happy again. She is a qualified lice-removal specialist who provides safe, effective treatment in a compassionate manner so that families can get over the shock and get back to life. Convenient house calls and care in the privacy of clients' homes mean a speedy relief that allow clients to recover peace of mind. Lice Stoppers serves residents throughout the DMV area.

Amy is an active volunteer within the Vienna community. Also, she was a coach for middle school girls volleyball. She is a past Co-President of Vienna Babysitting Co-op and is Virtus-trained and certified in child protection.

Megan Sanders

Megan’s journey with Lice Stoppers began in 2020 when her family of six (including a 7 month old baby!) discovered they had lice. Amy’s compassionate, calm approach turned a stressful experience into a manageable one, and Megan never forgot it. When the opportunity arose to join Lice Stoppers, she didn’t hesitate.

As mom of four children between the ages of 6-14, Megan understands firsthand the panic that can come with a lice discovery, and the relief that follows when someone knowledgeable and kind shows up at your door. She is dedicated to providing that same experience for every family she serves.

Megan lives in Great Falls, Virginia and has deep roots in the Northern Virginia and Maryland communities, having grown up in the Chevy Chase/Bethesda area. She is an active volunteer at Our Lady of Good Counsel (OLGC) school and parish in Vienna, and several Northern Virginia preschools. Like Amy, Megan is Virtus-trained and background checked, so families can open their doors with complete confidence.
